What if a rabbit were to traverse a distance by hopping half the remaining distance at each hop. When would the rabbit reach the endpoint. The answer is never. But there always exists a close enough beyond which the remaining distance does not matter. And we would call that Countably Infinite. And that close enough would have a number which could be used as a measure.
Suppose we say that a Countably Infinite number of things have to happen at each hop then these garnered close enough values multiply exponentially to the point where there is no final close enough. This is Called Uncountably Infinite and has zero measure.
Zero measure means no calculus and no calculus means no engineering. In animals everything that has to happen for evolution to go right can exceed the number of seconds that have passed since the Big Bang.
