The First Jumping Off Place

This is the single most important topic of the website.

Artificial Intelligence is the game changer for education.

My thesis is… If one knows where to start off, he can learn anything he wants to with AI.

This is pretty much true of any topic save one… Mathematics.

For Mathematics though the first thing you must know, the place where to start, is… The concept of algebra.

Algebra is the key to everything in Mathematics and there are many different algebras.  But the question is which algebra should be taught first?  Certainly NOT arithmetic which is, in case you do not realize it, just another algebra.

The problem with arithmetic is that it is mixed with a complicated decimal system as it is being taught.  And outside of bean counting and balancing a checkbook it is just not that useful an algebra, relatively speaking.

The way education is taught today is something called the Lesson Plan.  The teacher stands before a class and talks for almost an hour about a specific topic.

So, what happens to the student with the low attention span or the student who is tone deaf.  A learning experience must be interactive to any human need.

If some students were given a jumping off topic to pursue further on the internet while the teacher spent time addressing what problems students were having with the topic of study, then that would be far more productive.

What is proposed here is the first jumping off is the teaching another kind of algebra as early as the first grade or even kindergarten, called Boolean Algebra, an algebra of sets without a complicated number system, Having only a zero and 1 as numbers.

This algebra is innocuously introduced as a game with intersecting circles.  Then turns into a serious endeavor with such objects as Inverses. Inverses are the very tools that allow Mathematics to solve linear equations.

Then!  We can solve arithmetic problems quite easily.  Finding inverses here is quite easily done.  You want the Additive Inverse of an element just put a minus sign in front of the number.  To find the Multiplicative Inverse of a number just divide that number into 1 with a calculator.  Yes, I did say calculator!

This puts the student far ahead of what the school systems are doing today.

And there is a bigger bonus, set algebra has legs.  The very act of reasoning can be emulated as algebra and therefore can be implemented with a computer.  Artificial Intelligence becomes possible.

This set algebra is implemented in this website as the… Venn Dashboard.  It is a sophisticated program because to make something easy to understand takes that much more effort.

The price on this app is $100 because source code is included and my aim is to sell it to a school district, to a Superintendent maybe, who could just turn around and sell it to anyone else.  There is no license involved.  And it is in my estimation a very valuable asset to any educational facility.

Making money off this product is NOT my highest priority promulgating this product IS.  So, buy it off my website, sell it to the rest of the world as if you owned it, because we Do co- own it once you buy it and I am one happy dude.

The Venn Dashboard is the first jump-off platform.  The last platform is the Riemann Hypothesis.  This is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, of my endeavors.  There will be many other topics between the 1st and the last which will occur monthly on this website.

You can read more about The Venn Dashboard.  I know this post is difficult and awkward, the print being somewhat small and crowded but you can increase or decrease the magnification and use the horizontal scroll bars still…  Or you can just download it to your own printer.

If you decide to buy this software, you will need to purchase MATLAB to run this software. A student version of this software is available for $50 from MathWorks, the last time I checked, for $50.

MathWorks is a company based in Natick, Massachusetts, known for developing MATLAB and Simulink software. Here is their contact information:

  • Address: MathWorks, 1 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760-2098, USA
  • Phone: +1-508-647-7000

For AI I use Gemini Advanced by Google, Pilot by Microsoft is also good.

To Install MATLAB and Run the software you will need to read about the MATLAB Development Environmemnt.
